If so, I noticed the error on other hosts as well. It is a bug in kernel-26.32-431 and prior:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1063836

Issue was resolved with the following kernel patch from Intel:

http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/tip/tip.git/commit/?id=a05123bdd1b9ba961ed262864924a5b3ee81afe8

Unfortunately I have no other information about it and I didn't do a good enough job of documenting it here. We can close it for now, I think.

  • status changed from assigned to closed
  • resolution set to fixed

Agreed. The host has two instances running on it and appears to be running normally despite the output messages. Redhat has stated the following in regards to severity:

Actual results:
Console harmless and annoying messages:

kvm: 23090: cpu0 unhandled wrmsr 0x391 data 2000000f

Expected results:
Supress messges to reduce support load.
